Ricky worked as a professional actor in Los Angeles for nearly 18 years on stage and on camera. He obtained his MFA in Acting for Television, Film and Theatre at California State University- Los Angeles. He successfully combined his love for teaching and performing working as a teaching artists for regional theaters in Southern California and working as an adjunct professor in the Southland. All the while, still maintaining a professional profile as a performer, writer, and director.

PRESENT

He is a member of SAG/AFTRA and has appeared in tv shows, commercials, and films, most recently "The Ultimate Playlist of Noise" on Hulu.    He is currently the Artistic Director and Founder of the Circle Squared Collective, a company that seeks to bring diverse voices to a new generation of audience members. He is also a teaching artist for the Tectonic Theater Project based in New York City teaching their unique brand of devised theatre called Moment Work. He is currently a tenure track Assistant Professor of Acting at Syracuse University.

While teaching at Syracuse University, he has maintained his professional artistic profile. Most recently he devised and directed an original holiday production called "Home for the Holiday's" for the regional theater, Syracuse Stage. Earlier he also directed "Danny, King of the Basement" for their Educational Outreach department.  He is currently working as a deviser and actor for a national theatre project exploring the housing crises called "A Most Beautiful Home... Maybe" which will premiere later this year in Syracuse, Minneapolis, D.C. and Los Angeles.
